About Dean

Dean Asher is vice president of Don Asher & Associates Inc., in Orlando, Florida. A third-generation Realtor®, he is active in property management, residential brokerage and association management. He holds the professional designation of Graduate Realtor® Institute (GRI).

At the state level, Dean currently serves as secretary of the Florida Association of Realtors®. A member of the Board of Directors since 1998, Dean also served as district vice president in 2004. Dean has been the vice-chair of Public Policy, chair for the Key Contacts Subcommittee, Legislative Days Committee, Political Affairs Committee, Political Fundraising Forum, and Property Management Council. A 12-year member of the FAR Honor Society, Dean was in the first graduating class of the Leader Development Program.

On the local level, Dean was president of Orlando Regional Realtor® Association in 2003. He received the association's "REALTOR® of the Year" award in 2004, and he was awarded and the Presidents Award Recipient in both 2000 and 2005. In 1999, Dean received the Rising Star Award. A member of several committees through the years, he has served as chair of Governmental Affairs, Nominating, NAR/FAR Task Force, Past Presidents, RPAC, and the Property Management Forum.

At the national level, Dean has served as a director since 2005. He currently serves on the RPIC Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and the Political Communication Forum. Dean has served on the Issues Mobilization Committee, and he also been the local chair for Habitat for Humanity.

With a long history of community service, Dean was recently selected to receive the prestigious Orlando Business Journal's "40 Under 40" award. An Eagle Scout, Dean serves on the Advisory Committee of the Central Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is serving as chair of the Municipal Planning Board and the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee for the City of Orlando. He is the current president and a director for the Central Florida Fair. He served as president of the Florida Leaders Council in 1995. Dean has also served as vice president of public policy for the board of directors of the Orlando Chamber of Commerce.

A native of Central Florida, Dean is a graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He enjoys hunting, boating, and spending time with his wife, Wendy, and their two children, Reese and Morgan.
